Photoshoot
It was finally nice enough out to wash the car yesterday, & take some photos of the result.

The trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off.
As planned, I retired from work Friday, for the summer. Reasons: Because I can, & because it is probably the last chance I will have to take a summer off for about 25-30 years. So far there has been a lot of catching up on sleep, watching World Cup action, along with watching the Oilers shit the bed.
I must be off for some lunch & viewing the 1984 classic 'Bachelor Party' Hopefully it is as good this viewing, as it was 10 years ago.

Remember Danny - Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left.
Things got under way with a classic BHT outing Thursday night as Andrew & Tracy were in town.
It featured the regular billiards duel against Vettel, a Quiet Riot jukebox selection that got louder during play, I could certainly 'Feel the noise.' & alternative lyrics to 'Mony Mony' being shouted by an older lady who would later buy us drinks.
We joined B. Savoy for some mingling with sketchy people, including one guy who randomly got up & started taking pictures of some girls, later pulling out a stack of photos of local females. It turns out he is an actual photographer, not just a pervert with a camera.
There were several classic comments & stories heard through the night, a billiards team match against a couple of guys from my work, some conversation with James. S, & catching up with some former classmates who have returned home, including Kenny. M.
I think the BHT should be the new via/smt station, because whenever someone gets back home, it is one of their first stops.
Friday Kelly & I departed for PEI, my first journey across the straight.
We stopped off in Moncton for supper, meeting up with Julie & Brad.
I was reminded of why I don't eat anything at Wendy's except the giant burgers ... the buns taste like Wonder Bread, which is total shit. At least with the 4 patty burger, the grease soaks into the bun making it taste good.
We arrived in PEI pretty late, checked into the hotel, I took advantage of the free wireless internet & did some final studying while Kelly had a shower.
Saturday I did my APA tests, passing both, & getting to do the psychological testing, results to follow in a few weeks.
We left PEI, headed to Moncton where every restaurant was fully packed, eventually we decided to stand in line at Ponderosa. The meal was actually okay this time, but looses points on the processed meat in the burgers, & also for not labeling things at the salad bar, causing me to eat something that should be illegal to taste.
From now on at restaurants when I'm asked my last name for the order, instead of having to spell out my real last name, I will just be using a fake one.
Sunday was a day of catching up on sleep, I had Monday & today as scheduled days off from work, Saturday & Sunday were sick days I had to take after they wouldn't switch the schedule around.
The hype of Walmart here seems to have been replaced by Boston Pizza. Everyone wants to either go there or work there, in the end you are just eating or serving food, get over it.

A Rooster Named Red
It was 25 out on my last day off(Monday) so Kelly & I headed to BayDuVin to comb the beach. Although we didn't see Relic, we did see a lot of crabs, clams & interesting birds.

I've never seen anyone buy condoms before
The weekend got under way Wednesday after wrapping up 9 days of work in a row.
I had some drinks & played poker before walking down to the BHT to meet Kelly, Brad & Julie. Drinks were consumed, conversation was had. We were joined by James H. who like always, had some good stories to tell.
Things proceeded to the OH where it was pretty empty. Walking in the door it was like being on Oblivous, as the door person was asking us questions related to what herpes are & how they are transmitted.
We met up with M. Morris, at one point he made a remark that Kelly didn't like so she threatened if he didn't take it back, she would give him a thumbs down on hi5.com. It appeared to work. The comment was along the lines of her only being on his hi5 friends as a result of me being on his list.
One of the most disturbing things of the night was the presence of a male bartender at the OH. My thoughts on this are simple, keep CC's on the other side of the river, don't ruin tradition at the OH. He will look pretty funny dressed up as a school girl.
The drive home was scary, getting the most dangerous female taxi driver in the city. She appeared to be awake this time, but was smoking, while pointing to the 'No Smoking' sign above her head, saying she needed to. We made it home safely.
Saturday I woke up with my first cold in probably a year or more, so most of the day was spent sleeping. Eventually I got suited up for BHT/OH round II.
I was picked up by Kelly, Brad & Julie. We were joined this time at the BHT by Hillary, Bryan & some others before departing to the OH. It was a full house, some notables, some 14 year old types, & a couple of my hi5 friends were noted, (which I think should become a new game, like spotting someone from here at a mall in another city is played).
During a bathroom break an older guy bought some condoms, after he left I over heard the other two guys in the bathroom giggle like school girls saying, "I've never seen anyone buy condoms before!" I was going to ask for ID to make sure they weren't 12.
Eventually sometime after 1 it got to be too hot so Kelly & I departed to get a couple burgers. The guy who bought me a drink a few weeks back was noted during this time. He wasn't intoxicated enough to buy me another one.
Once again we got the same taxi driver. This time she took a personal phone call, crossing into the other lane a bit, quickly telling the person she would call them back. We made it home safely.
Burgers were had. I was sober by the time we got home, having only a few drinks due to the extreme heat at the OH.
I woke up Sunday in time to watch the F1 race, my cold much worse. After more rest, Kelly & I finished the weekend off watching the TPB's.
I took a sick day from work today with no voice, spending the day watching tv.
The highlight being the quote, "If you have to take reading material into the bathroom with you, maybe you go in too soon."

I used to party here when I was your age. I still party with people your age.
Maybe it was the all girl cage fight at the OH or the 2 free drinks I had through the weekend, that made it one of the better recent outings.
I had to make a quick departure from work Friday morning after feeling like I was suddenly going to throw up all over the place, turns out I was not the only casualty with the same issue. By mid day I was feeling much better, but still a bit off.
Kelly & I were picked up in the evening by Hillary & Bryan, joining them for some supper at the OHouse. It was the largest crowd I've ever seen there for food.
Bryan purchased my first free drink of the weekend, my first time meeting him, putting him on the acceptable list in my book of people to or not to hang out with.
We had supper and then called it an early night around 10 as I had to work Saturday.
Work was pretty slow, I dozed off 3-4 times & don't know how I managed to make it through the day. An early supper, followed by a nap was then had to get ready for the night. I received a telephone call from Kelly around 7:30 that put a hold on the nights plans. Eventually things were worked out.
Kelly & I began drinking at my house, making it to the BHT around 11, flying solo for the night. The BHT was dead, only a few people there, and they actually resembled what a crowd at Billy Bob's in Bville must have looked like years ago. We had a couple of drinks & talked, I opted out of the poker game invite partially due to the lack of a decent crowd.
We moved along to the OH. Soon after grabbing a seat, a large fight broke out in the cage - an all girl fight, it appeared to be 4-5 on 1 or 2, lots of punches thrown, but hard to say if any made good contact. A group of bouncers was quickly on the scene to haul them all away, to large applause of the crowd.
Later on a guy Kelly knows was walking by, sat down for a moment, she asked what he was up to, his response, "no good." and got up, leaving quickly.
Later on upstairs at scruples, we were waiting to get some service & an older guy (in his early 30's) came beside me and got service first, he ordered me a drink at the same time, some how it happened to be a double rum & cola.
I recognize him from some place, possibly parties from my younger years, he claimed to be a local legend while talking to me, & appeared to be the real deal. "I used to party here when I was your age. I still party with people your age."
Eventually we made our way home, upon arrival home I made some wings, and we stayed up for about an hour, although Kelly thought it was much longer.
I got up early Sunday for the F1 race which was pretty good. After the race I celebrated the title of Sunday nights TPB's by heading to Mcdonald's for a Cheeseburger Picnic.
Yesterday Kelly & I headed to Scary Movie 4, which was decent, but not worth theatre viewing.
In other news I'm thinking of a lawsuit against the Tv show "Scrubs" regarding the episode that aired last week. It featured a Mr. "enter my last name here" who was having trouble with his laptop. During the time I was changing hard drives in my laptop after the old one was defective.

You are probably going to buy drugs with it
I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks working two weeks worth of shifts in a row, along with getting some stuff ready for next years possible endeavor to the APA.
Last week I came up with the plan of a surprise visit to Fredericton to see Kelly on Wednesday. I ditched work about a half hour early Wednesday, at that point I hadn't done anything, literally in about 73 minutes. I caught the bus, the ride uneventful, judging by the massive amount of tobacco spilled all over the back of the bus, I'm guessing I missed the eventful ride full of released & soon to be convicts.
I grabbed a taxi to Kelly's where I was able to gain entry as the door was unlocked, with Steven home, I did not have to break in like I was prepared for.
I watched tv for a couple hours, then decided to hide in her bed moments before she arrived home from class. She was in her room trying to call me, making several attempts, before I stuck my head out of the blankets, scaring her fairly good, I'm sure it would have been a winner on Americas Funniest Home Videos.
Thursday saw Kelly & I joining Andrew for some supper at the Lunar Rogue. Easily the best burger I have had in my life, period. It will become the only eating establishment in Fredericton that I officially endorse, as I have never had a good meal at any other restaurant in the city except for the chinese buffet place.
Some drinks were also consumed, before we moved along to Jester's Court for another drink, conversation and taking in the view. There are no windows, but I know I found lots to look at inside.
We grabbed a cab back to Kelly's where some television was viewed.
I grabbed the bus back home today, again an uneventful journey, with the exception of the following comment after our stop at a store in Boistown, "you forgot to get my pop" --- "i got your chips though, i couldnt find the rest of the money" --- "yeah right, you are probably going to buy drugs with it in burntchurch"
I went for an eye exam earlier in the week as part of my application process for the APA, and found out my eyes aren't as bad as I feared. I actually have 20/20 vision when I squint, 40/20 without squinting. I racked up a couple of reference letters as well, which I might start requesting from people yearly, as its a pretty good ego boost to see the regard your held in.
